Nocturne in Coral

A great blue-green circle rises behind the reeds while the crescent and the sun hold opposite corners. The ground is kept grey and striated so the colour inside the shapes does all the work. It is a night piece, but a warm one—coral and orange keep slipping in where the dark should be.
